RIFT: Artifact Hunting

Recently I've discovered the ridiculous wealth I can accumulate through selling artifacts. With my OCD need to collect all things I figured I would just keep them for myself, boy was I wrong. My new OCD passion is artifact hunting. I love it. LOVE. Selling random objects that I find running around zones for a ton of platinum? Yes, please!

I first discovered this when I found an artifact that I had already collected, and that my brother had already collect. So the logical thing, of course, is to put it on the Auction House. I searched for said artifact and found that it was selling for 1 platinum. That can't be right. I tried it again. Yup, still 1 plat. So I put it up, and it sold almost immediately. And now I'm addicted.

Here are some tips if you decide you want to artifact hunt as well:
  • Look behind EVERYTHING.
  • Look in trees, look on top of buildings, etc.
  • Roll a Bahmi (or a High Elf if that's how you roll). The racial ability makes it SO much easier to get to those hard-to-reach areas.
  • Don't sell yourself short. Always look to see if the artifact is on the Auction House and price accordingly. If it isn't, then price similar to this: Common artifact - 80-90gold; Uncommon artifact - 1-2 platinum; Rare artifact - 5-10 platinum.
Finding artifacts is fun and easy, and a fantastic way of making tons of platinum on RIFT. This is especially helpful if you're a new player, like myself. I have no problems buying my level 40, or 50 mount. Or my brother's. Happy RIFTing!
